Problemi con Disco Fisso

ciao a tutti,
Recentemento ho inziato ad avere problemi con il disco fisso, ho riformattato e reinsatllato Kubuntu 8.04 ma durante l'installazione è apparso un messaggio d'errore
riguardante appunto il disco fisso.
Ho sostituito il cavo SATA di collegamento alla MB ma non è servito a nulla.
Ho provato con un nuovo hd niente da fare.
Ho dedotto che fossa guasta la MB (ASUS M3A78-VM) anche se ha circa 4 mesi di vita, l'ultimo tentativo è stato di togliere la MB dal case e provare ad installare
il SO ; è andata bene.
Queste righe le sto scrivendo con PC a "cuore aperto"
ora il vecchio HD l'ho collegato ad un adattore USB per hd esterni risultato vedo la partizione di Home vedo la petizione di swap mentre la partizione di root non viene riconosciuta ,usando QTparted ho provato a riformattarla con esito positivo.

Questa è la pagina del wiki in inglese di Ubuntu che tratta del bug in questione. C'è una lista dell'hardware interessato. Qui trovi la relativa pagina in italiano, ci sono meno informazioni ma è comunque indicato il modo di verificare se hai questo bug.
Il tool che si utilizza di solito (almeno per le ricerche che ho fatto io in internet) per verificare la salute dell'harddisk è smartmontools, se cerchi in google trovi delle guide per l'ulizzo anche in italiano. Io ho provato ad usarlo qualche volta senza mai riscontrare problemi sui miei harddisk.

Quando posti dei risultati dalla riga di comando abbastanza lunghi, come per "sudo hdparm -I -dev-sda", sarebbe meglio utilizzare il tag "code", così il post risulta più leggibile. smile

Se non ho capito male dovrebbe esser tutto ok (il 320 non è aumentato)
Però ho provato con "GSmartControl" il quale riporta che vi sono gia' stati 10 errori
nelle prime ore di vita, che questi sono avvenuti a 3 minuti l'uno dall'altro
dovuti probabilmente allo stesso comando.
Ho tanta paura

Sinceramente non saprei come interpretare i messaggi di errore. Prova a mandare una email alla mailing list di supporto di smartmontools con allegato l'output di GSmartControl.
